A man from the United Illuminating Co called me, and it was the easiest conversation I have ever had in my life! He was kind and knowledgeable. I felt like I was speaking to someone from a tiny little business that has time to talk and make sure you feel at ease. I cannot say this for many companies! I hope they continue to stay like this.

The vegetation management department cut down branches of a tree in my property supposedly in the way of them to reinstall a cable that fell on the side of my house and left them on the sidewalk and my fence line. One would think oh they'll take care of those since they cut them down.They deemed it an "emergency" and therefore it's supposedly my responsibility to deal with the branches now. No notification or door tag was given to me and they would not say anything unless I reach out. I asked why they didn't tell me and of course they ignored me. 👍🏽

UI has a monopoly here in CT and as a monopoly, the very LEAST you can do is deliver excellent customer service - the very LEAST. This company is insanely inept. They turned my power off without any type of communication with me. Someone told them that they were the new tenants for my address. Without hesitation they proceed to turn my power off. It stayed off for a whole week until i returned from a trip. Their phone reps were completely useless and it felt like I was talking to toddlers. Once they fixed their mistake I was told that they were not responsible and would not be paying for my spoiled food.

This is a perfect example of a monopoly. But nothing happens so they just continue to get away with it.

I have to say dealing with the last representative William. He was absolutely fantastic. I wish all representatives can be like him. He definitely deserves a promotion. He gave me all the help I needed handled my request and gave me information to help me fantastic young man definitely an asset to United illuminating Thanks again
