Don't let the other poor reviews fool you, these guys did a great job…
I dealt with the owner Jack about upgrading to a 200 amp panel in my home - Jack was always on time, professional and communicated everything along the way. They pulled all the Town/Eversource permits, made the necessary repairs to bring it up to current code, stayed true to their original quoted price and repairs were completed on schedule. I will be using them again for other projects around the house.

Nightmare! Our home is located in an area that has frequent, extended power outages. After being without power for 5 days following tropical storm Isiais, we decided to replace our old portable generator with a Kohler 20 kw generator that would start itself and run the whole house in the event of a power outage. The generator was delivered October 17, 2020. Set up and installation took about a month at a cost of $11,000. It was activated on November 24, 2020. The new generator started itself on two successive Thursdays. On December 17, 2020 it failed to start. Riiska Electric has the service contract for it. Our electrician contacted Riiska to come out to fix the problem. On December 18, 2020 Riiska sent a young technician out. He wasn't able to get it started. He blamed the problem on the gas company. The gas company came back out and confirmed that the gas was not the problem. It took until December 29, 2020 for Riiska to return to to diagnose the problem. This time the person in charge, named Jack, came out. He said he would order a part. It took Riiska 6 weeks to get the needed part. During this time, Jack did not return phone calls placed to him for status updates. Thinking we might get some help from The Kohler Company. we contacted their generator service department. Their representative failed to follow up and even when we sent a letter to the president of Kohler, they provided no help. Riiska finally got it started on February 3, 2021. This has been a very worrisome and frustrating experience. If you are considering purchasing a generator, I would not recommend getting a Kohler. The product was defective and their service is very poor. I also would not recommend using Riiska Electric as a dealer or for service.

My biggest issue is that they were just super unprofessional and didn’t end up actually getting done what needed to be done, which wouldn’t have even been so bad if they weren’t so difficult to work with. Communicating with them and getting ahold of them was like trying to wrangle a child on the playground, and then once we could finally get in touch they were brusque and rude. He always seemed to be in a hurry, talked over me, and made inappropriate off-color jokes that creeped me out. And then the light fixtures didn’t even end up working properly and we had to get someone else to finish the job. The new guy made a comment about the previous work by this place that people shouldn’t self-teach. Really frustrating, save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Installed a timer on my hot water heater, and had to do rewiring since my home is older. Did a great job for a reasonable price. Will use them again and refer to friends and family.
