Great place. They have pleanty of parking for 18 wheelers if you get there early or late for your appointment like I did. Gate 19 is where you stage/park and wait until they start receiving deliveries which is 7am. From Illinois 111 make a right/left on Madison and drive about ½ a mile and gate will be on your left. Do not pull up to the main gate on Illinois 111, posted sign clearly reads TRACTOR TRAILERS DO NOT USE THIS GATE. You will get stuck specially if you arrive when all employees are here.

Truckers check in at gate 19 off of Madison st. If you have all the correct pick up information like pick up contact and pick up phone number everything will go more quickly. The guards, warehouse employees, loading employees are good people.

Security is beyond rude, told me I needed a newer truck to work there the first time I came in.

This particular refinery has been hiring anti-union companies (Universal Plant Services, as an example) for a while now, who are full of workers who are actually illiterate in the English language. The workers they bring in, conveniently don't care about asbestos or lead (of which there is plenty here) and the foremen will throw a fit if you raise a safety concern regarding those substances. They'll also throw a fit if you want a harness at heights where they are mandated by OSHA. It's not just "UPS", it's the entire refinery. But hey, don't come in unshaven, even though it's a myth that you can't get a good seal with facial hair. Security will flex their mall-cop muscles on you for that.

I know that none of the major oil companies are any better, but after having spent some months at this former "shellcatraz", I will never buy from a P66 station again so long as I live. I'd sooner run out of gas and walk anywhere else but a place affiliated with this refinery.
