We are very dissatisfied with the past three electric bills we have received. Our usage is over 46% higher than last year. We had our heater/ac serviced yesterday. It checked out ok. I called PJE and requested them to check my meter. He said they will do it free. We have even drained our hot tub that we have used for over 20 years each winter. My usage is still too high. We have never had a problem with our bills till this winter. We are seniors living on our SS. Something is very wrong here!!! If it were just our home that would be different. So many in this area have been seriously injured by these outrageous bill hikes. We do not want to pay the debt of Petit Jean Electric and we want our money returned to us.

The people are great. The electric charges have gone ballistic. Way way too high. Prices have doubled while usage has stayed the same or lower. They approved a huge raise for one of the directors and passed it on as a debt to all the customers. Thinking about dropping my internet with them to cut costs. They need to get this fixed ASAP.

We have never ever been late on a payment before. This month our electric bill was almost $600 which is INSANE because it’s never ever been that high. That is tripled our normal bill. We paid half of it and we were going to try to pay the second half before the end of the month but they shut our electric off BEFORE the month was even over. I had to call up there and they were seriously trying to blame us like we used too much electricity this month which is false and gaslighting us as if everyone else in this county isn’t having the same issues with this electric company scamming and raising the bills. And then the craziest part is that they charged us a $200 fee to get them to turn the electric back on when we have NEVER been late on a payment until they started scamming everyone. This is outrageous. I can’t imagine how hard this is on the elderly who are on fixed incomes. The director and all of them need to be fired. And the ladies in the office are extremely rude and unprofessional.

Petitioned the Arkansas Public Service Commission multiple times until they were approved with the highest rates in the state. They do not care that they are impacting working class citizens and seniors on a fixed income! The senior management team needs to be fired!

Bills are up over $100 per month this year over last year. Said it's our usage. I went statement by statement from 2023. We use WAY less kilowatt now than then.....and still the increase. It was a rate increase HE said. Total BS! We only use you because we have to. 42% higher bill 600 less kwt. Hell of an increse. Petit Jean Electric ain't your friend and doesn't feel much like a CoOp.

Petit Jean Electric has capitalized on being the monopoly for electricity in Van Buren County and surrounding areas. We don't have a choice for energy. Bills have tripled around the county while their fiber intetnet struggles to reach 100% of its customers due to having other WONDERFUL service providers in our area. Meanwhile we pay a CEO a lavish salary that matches the POTUS and Directors as much as senators and a good portion of our retired and disabled community members are struggling to make the choice between electricity, medication or groceries for the month.

I fully support the immediate resignation of Mr. Kirkland and active Directors due to mishandling and misleading our community.

Over charging customers to pay for failed projects is bad for people on fixed incomes. Most people can't afford to live here now and it's adding to an already tough situation when you have food prices out of control and they spring a huge bill on us right after the holidays. Way to GO! Petit Jean Electric has charged triple the amount for elecricity this time last year.

The work crews are awesome. Fixes electric quickly. The main people in charge suck. They charged us for electric used when we were out of power.
