As a local, I want to be proud and supportive of my local university. However, it is with much regret that I write of an action they have recently committed that is leaving a sour taste. I purchased several tickets (with premium pricing) to their recent home baseball game against the Arkansas Razorbacks, and it was rained out. Naturally, you would want a refund for a product you purchase that is not delivered. Missouri State will not refund me my money for the purchase, but they had no problem taking my money. Now, the money is important, but the most appalling thing is the principle of doing the right thing being spat upon by the athletics department. It was also not stated that the purchase was non-refundable, but even if it was, they were not able to deliver the product that they promised and should offer one regardless. I have contacted the athletic department several times, and have been assured that I will receive a call from an administrator in the department. However, I have not received a phone call from them, and when I contact the athletic department they act very put out that I am calling for this issue. Now, they haven't picked up the phone or returned my call, despite leaving voicemail with callback info. I wish the Bears success, and I like seeing all the upgrades that are happening (such as new turf, LED lighting, volleyball court, etc.), but their action is not a good business model for building support or a fan base that is needed to get where they are trying to go as an athletics department. I hope that the university sees this and decides to do the right thing. A simple apology and refund would be sufficient.

Older folks refer to the university as "SMSU" (the old uni name). Clif Smart carried the university well at the time of his presidency there. The campus is nice to walk around and the fountain when it is turned on

Saw two girls with pi chi shirts being extremely rude in public to complete strangers. Hope they get shut down soon. When I was in college the worst didn’t act like they were. Horrible.

1000/10 would not recommend this university. I attended years ago and admission was a nightmare with their horrible staff. Now years later they’re withholding my transcripts due to outstanding balance (not unfair I get it) but as I was blind transferred to the billing office from the registrars office everyone was rude. I tried to explore payment options with them and billing hung up on me? Absolutely horrible quality of people you’re employing in your offices. Do better.

Went to the stadium here to see a concert. Got absolutely blitz drunk and tried to get on stage because I felt I was the better singer. Security beat the hell out of me and tossed me outside. Then, a member of administration came and said I was MSU material! Got a full scholarship and a master degree in culinary arts (tried music, but turns out I was not the better singer). Now I own a restaurant that caters to the very concerts I used to be tossed from, I still can't go in though, banned for life :/

Not on Libby. No longer a member of MOBIUS. It's sad how poorly managed my Alma Mater is. They care more about flashy buildings to put big wig's names on them than books.
