I just had Mid State Mechanical put in my new furnace and AC.I really thought this was going to be a big to do but this company couldn't have made it more pleasant. It started with Donna who is one of the owners and handles all your transaction information and is just wonderful to deal with. If you need to consider financing she is there to help you with all your questions. She actually made me want to do business with them because she was so terrific. Larry, her husband and owner came out to do the estimate and I knew immediately I felt comfortable with his knowledge and his obvious experience. As far as installing, both Matt Larry's son and Matt who help Larry install, were wonderful and really made this great experience. They arrived at 8:00 am and were don't by 3:00 pm. I am very happy with my new heat and air conditioning. So quiet and efficient. Also I want to mention that their pricing was very fair and I compared it to 2 other companies. Try this family owned business. I think you will be very satisfied as I am. Thank you Donna, Larry, Matt and Matt!!!

We started working with Midstate because they were servicing the Heating and Air Conditioning units in our home with the previous owner. When our 1988 furnace went out, we received quotes from two other contractors. Midstate had a fair price, knew their equipment well, and were knowledgable about the requirements we would need to meet for the CT Heat Loan program. We decided to continue with Midstate and they were helpful from start to finish. They were quick with the paperwork for the state and when everything was approved, were efficient with the installation. The furnace work was a clean and professional job, and went beyond our expectations. They were (and are) professional, and addressed any concerns we had in a timely manner. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and local contractor.

The Team at Mid-State are Lifesavers- called Mid-State for a service and they performed it on my heating and central’s AC. What they discovered is that my 30 year old boiler was throwing deadly amounts of CO into my home. If it wasn’t for the expertise and customer service of Matt, Larry, Matt, and Donna at Midstate- my family and I would be dead. Not only did they advise me on everything I needed to know- they worked with me to install a new, safe boiler at a great value.

Donna worked to schedule me in within 5 business days of the first service when the schedule originally would have been several weeks. Larry and Matt, Matt performed a quality, and quick job while I worked from home. I now have nothing to worry about since meeting these kind people - saving me from a major disaster.

I have used Mid State the last several years to nurse an aging A/C system. They've been very open and honest about each visit preparing us for the day when it would need replaced. That happened after our 16 yr central a/c for the upstairs died the first big heat wave of 2021.
Larry came out and gave us a quote and I trusted him because of the discussions I've had with him and his son during previous service calls. They know their business and equipment!
Of course such replacements are not cheap but Donna was a life-saver in telling us about CTEnergy loans which offer super low interest rates. I did the paperwork and Donna helped coach me through the process. Once approved, we had to wait for the town's certificate for the replacement but once that was obtained, Donna was on the phone to schedule the replacement.
Larry and his team were great and were done after just a few hours (luckily for them, it was a cool summer day so the attic wasn't a sauna). The attention to detail was great in making things look good outside and in the attic (besides working in excellent condition). Even used a portable vacuum cleaner they have to clean up after themselves after multiple trips in and out of the house and up into the attic.
I highly recommend Larry, Donna, and the rest of the crew. I read some of the negative reviews and really have to question if they are legitimate after the relationship I've built with Mid State.

Love these guys. They do -excellent- work and don't shy away from difficult jobs. My home HVAC is located in a half-basement and accessed through a shoulder-width hatch in the floor. They literally took my new HVAC apart and rebuilt it in the basement to install it; no other HVAC companies that I spoke with wanted to touch that job (understandably). And the unit has functioned beautifully for 2 years since then. Friendly, hard working group that I would use again and again.

Larry and Donna,
It is a pleasure to find a company whose people are professional and do what they say they are going to do in a timely manner. No pressure sales, just answered my questions and suggested what I should do.
I had Mitsubishi mini splits installed in my home in basically one full day and Larry and his workers were extremely tidy in their work.
If you are looking for a heating/cooling equipment call Midstate. Pricing was very good and service was excellent. I saved about $200/month off my heating bill in January and February.
