I called a week ago and asked if I could pay part of what I owed and then the rest the following week with no late charge. The person on the phone said that should be fine , cause it was before the next bill comes out. I called to pay the rest off the bill and it was $27 late charge. The person said the penalty was applied a half an hour ago, you should called this morning, but no one told me that. Later in the day is when they do their billing. This is absolute horrible service. Can you give full details, not just say it will be fine. The person wouldn’t do anything to help, just tell me things that could’ve helped if I was told this a week prior. Sounds like steeling to me!!

They don’t even deserve a star. Their lack of courtesy and empathy blows my mind. In the middle of winter I was one bill behind, I knew I I had to pay it but the previous day I was in an accident so it slipped my mind. They don’t give a courtesy knock and the women on the phone said it’s because they are too busy. They literally have to walk past my unit to get to the meter. My daughter even heard the guys talking under her window!!! So they are busy, well don’t they have to put in more work to come turn it back on? One of the many reasons I’m moving from this town where they have a more sophisticated company. Your company is from the stone ages,your customer service sucks and I guarantee if the people of Jewett city had any other power company option then you would be put out of business. The company is so bad that they charge for online payments. The customer does the work and we get charged. There is one nice women that works there but the rest need a course in customer service.

If it wasn't for this company practically holding the town at metaphorical gun point none of us would use it. There is a young lady who works in the office who is beyond rude and disgustingly into peoples personal business to the point where I dread going in there, prices are insane and they even charge a fee to pay your bill online! New town folks beware of these legal mobsters selling you power!
