I hired Eleck and Salvato to fix several nagging problems in my house, to add a few exterior lights, and to upgrade my transfer switch. Doug Eleck did the estimate and Pete did the work. Doug was responsive to my questions, flexible with some last minute changes I made, and offered multiple solutions for a couple pre existing lighting issues. Pete was very thorough with the work he did and explained everything he was doing. He also found a couple of other issues and fixed those as well. Everyone was friendly and trustworthy and id recommend them to friends and family.

BEWARE when using this person/company.

On August 15th 2018 I hired Mr. John from Slavato Electric to mount two TVs - one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Mr.
John came alone to install both TVs one of them being a 65 inch TV above the fire place. When he was ready to mount the 65 inch TV above the fireplace he required help as there was no way he could have put such a large TV 10 feet above on his own. I agreed to help as Mr.John seemed like a nice guy who just didn’t bring another helper because he was trying to maximize his profit. Mr. John grabbed the left side of the TV and I grabbed the right side. TV was hung (we did the mistake of not turning on the TV after his work was completed) we tipped him 30% and he was on his way. We turn the TV about 1-2 hours later and immediately we see the crack and his huge palm print on the left side of the TV. I immediately called him and texted him to let him know. Mr. John was apologetic and told me he would reach out to his insurance company. (We felt relieved as this is one of the reasons we hired an insured professional.) I submitted the photos of the damage, receipts and everything else
He asked for on August 15-16. Mr John even offered to PAY ME while he dealt with his insurance company. Fast forward to a month later and his insurance company informed me that Mr John NEVER submitted any of the evidence photos or documents that I had sent to him - he was stringing me all along As you will see in our text message conversation. I submitted everything that the insurance required and a couple of days later they tell me the claim is denied because there is no evidence Mr John damaged the TV. Let me make clear that no one even came to inspect the TV. I called Mr. John to inform him and give him the chance to iron out the issues with his insurance and to my surprise his reply was he is no longer communicating with me as he has been advised from his insurance company. Therefore I am left to my own devices to try to seek damage for a TV that I spent over $3,500 back in April 2018. My hard earned teacher money down the drain. So now I have to spend more money and take time off from work to handle this matter.

Beware when hiring Mr John from Slavato company. Just because he is insured doesn’t mean you will be covered if there is an accident.
