Terrible Experience - Dishonest and Rude!

I recently had an awful experience at this mechanic shop. My car stalled, and I contacted them for a quote to replace a broken alternator belt, before towing my car to their location. They provided a quote over the phone, which I agreed to, but when I arrived, the mechanic suddenly changed the pricing with no explanation. The work quote remained the same, so there was absolutely no reason for the price increase. (They just had to replace the alternator belt as it broke).

When I politely reminded the manager of the original pricing he gave me, he became extremely rude and dismissive. The manager was was dishonest about the pricing and also incredibly rude when I questioned the sudden change.

This place lacks basic customer service skills and integrity. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this shop at all costs. There are far better and more honest mechanics out there who respect their customers and honor their word.

Car broke down a block away from the shop as we were on the way to a wedding. Rodney was quick to help, replaced the power steering belt and tensioner. He even made accommodations for us to pick the car back up after he closed. Really helped us out in a jam. Thank you!

I highly recommend Rodney and his staff at East Avenue Automotive in Norwalk CT. I'm from out of town, and out of nowhere, my car started making horrible noises and shaking. Rodney was pleasant and helpful on the phone, and asked me to drive it right over (I was only 5 minutes away) so he could look at it and make sure it would be safe for me to drive home. He was kind and courteous, put it on the lift within minutes, offered a quick and affordable solution. Repaired the exhaust pipe on the spot. How could you ask for anything more? Bring your cars to Rodney. He's trustworthy, and you'll be happy you did!

Big shout out to Rodney. My horn was broken and he fixed it in record time (reconnecting the wires) at a fair price. Additionally overall good dude, donating his own funds to send supplies to individuals abroad impacted by a tropical storm

Got my power steering pump replaced some time ago here. Turns out they used the wrong kind of fluid for my vehicle. Now the system is failing and leaking. How did I figure out it was the wrong fluid? They left the half-used bottle in the engine compartment. Says right on the cap guys...Toyotas use Dexron II/III ATF. Any mechanic should know this as something basic, Toyota is not that obscure. Instead they used Napa power steering fluid meant for a Ford. Not my only grievance but I held back and ate it until this issue presented itself. This is my 4th Scion tC since 2005, only time this ever happened was when the wrong fluid was in the system. Come on I paid for this? I can't afford to put even more into this car so because of their error I will need to try and fix it myself in my apartment's parking lot. Thanks guys.

Rodney is an upstanding human and businessman and I recommend him wholeheartedly. I needed something installed on my vehicle and while every other mechanic told me it would be weeks to get me an appointment, he fit me in the same day, did the work in record time and his price was very reasonable. I hope to never need a mechanic again (LOL) but if I do I know who to go to!

They have been maintaining all my cars over many years and I can say from long experience that they are the best. I know I can trust them to always do a great job at a reasonable price. When I had a breakdown far from home I called Rodney to confirm the repair the other mechanic was proposing to do. I trust him completely. You cannot go wrong using East Avenue Automotive.
