i wonder how many folks are leaving negative reviews here as though they're reviewing the entirety of discover bank and not this specific location, LOL.

as for this specific and only discover branch: they're helpful and nice :+) i got my checking account set up quick & easy with their help. no minimum deposit for opening a checking/savings account, no fees, and the interest on savings is really good! cute little bank, my only complaint is that it's got an awkward parking lot entrance, but that's not their fault.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Discover Financial Services, and I am beyond disappointed with both their services and their appalling customer support. From the moment I reached out for assistance, I was met with unhelpful representatives who seemed uninterested in resolving my issue. Their communication was slow, frustrating, and, frankly, insulting. It felt like they were just reading from a script and were unable (or unwilling) to provide any real solutions.

I had an urgent issue with my account that required immediate attention, but I was bounced around between different departments, with each agent providing conflicting information. It's as if they don’t value their customers or the time they spend trying to reach a resolution. The lack of accountability and genuine care was evident in every interaction.

I do not recommend this bank at all... they opened a secured card account for me... they charged me for the deposit and I was never able to use the money... they put my account on hold and then closed it... without giving me any news... you have to wait 5 days for the emails they say they send you to arrive... and for them to return the security deposit I have to wait two months but when they charge it immediately... it was a bad time and a waste of time... this bank is useless and all the people I spoke to are very unprofessional.

So many reviews of this bank cashing fraudulent checks. Add me to the list. What's worse is the lack of care or effort by the bank to do any better or to help when they are contacted. I guess that's why criminals choose this bank.
