I purchased a fluorescent bulb at Diamond yesterday for $10. Unfortunately, I dropped the bulb and broke it before I had the opportunity to install it. I returned to Diamond Electric this morning and asked them if I could replace the bulb with a new one or if they could help me in some way. The customer service rep behind the counter told me, "it was not his fault that the bulb broke and it was only a $10 bulb." He proceeded to charge me full price for a new bulb. Rather than pay full price for a replacement bulb, I walked out of the store.

Never to return.

To me, the issue is the attitude of the Diamond representative. He is absolutely correct. I did break the bulb. He didn't. But to have him look me in the eye and say I am not going to pay for your mistake or help you in any way; Screams Loud and Clear. I do not have your back and I am not here to help you. I do not support business who act as if a dollar is more important than customer satisfaction.

I ordered a large roll of cable to pick up on a friday afternoon. I was running late, called to say I was going to arrive ten minutes after they closed and asked if they could just leave it outside. They promptly refused.....instead they offered to wait! I arrived and two very pleasant employees rolled it out to the truck (200lbs) and even loaded. THANK YOU!!!

Great customer service. Friendly atmosphere, and they have a SHOP DOG. Places never have dogs anymore, and since Diamond has an adorable shop dog to greet you when you come inside (The adorable Casey) they get my vote and 5 stars.

As a long time customer and huge fan of Diamond Electric I am quick to refer them for any electrical supplies. Their customer service, prices, and knowledge of products is unbeatable. I typically don’t write reviews but Diamond is one of the few businesses that deserves some credit for the extra effort that they put into every customer relationship. They have bent over backwards countless times for me and never once have I left there thinking I was treated poorly. Seeing the previous review from butter fingers who couldnt screw in a light bulb has me perplexed as to how any decent human being could actually voice an opinion that ridiculous. Diamond is fortunate to lose you as a customer. You belong at a big box store where you will waste hours of your life wandering through aisles without any qualified sales reps to point you in the right direction. I can’t help but feeling that attitudes like yours are what kill small local business. If I were you I would feel fortunate that things were not thrown at you after requesting a free bulb. Much like your light bulb that you smashed I don’t think your too bright. Think twice before you slander someone’s reputation that they work hard for. Im unsure how much google will let me say, but know that there is a long list of words that I would use to describe you. On that note, Diamond Electric keep up the good work, and butter-fingers-bulb-breaker..... you sir are a lost cause.
