We were fortunate to be put in touch with Melanie and her team at Cragnolin after my 89 year-old Mom’s house literally fell into the bay during Hurricane Sandy. Looking back at the 5 years of effort they put into obtaining a permit from the bottomless NYC DOB bureaucracy, I actually feel bad that I got them involved. The process was “excruciating “ to say the least, but they never gave up the fight. Melanie was always available with little or no notice by phone, email, and in person (I seem to recall even meeting her while she was out to dinner with her friends out on Long Island !- LOL). In the end, the permit was grudgingly issued by the agency bureaucrats - despite the fact that a new City Directive disallowed any new structures over the water. The original house was there since 1902 and come hell or high water, we were putting it back! Cragnolin Engineering was instrumental in seeing to it that our Mom finally was able to return home. That is priceless and will always be appreciated. Goes without saying, I highly recommend them.

I had the opportunity to work with Cragnolin Engineering through my company on proposals and a small design project. I was very pleased with the staff's professionalism and prompt response during the various short-notice requests.
Due to success I've had with Cragnolin Engineering at work, my husband and I decided to hire Cragnolin Engineering to provide home inspection on a house we had to place a bid within 3 days. We were extremely happy with the service received. Not only was Melanie Cragnolin able to do the inspection the following day and provide the report for our use, but additional recommendations out of scope was provided that was helpful in determining the work involved with repairs to the house.

What can I say about Cragnolin Engineering and Design Associates... Without them the hopes and dreams for our home would have been lost.
They are professional, caring and most of all extremely talented.
Upon our first meeting I knew my family was in the best hands that it could possible be in.
From start to finish they covered it all with their engineering and design capabilities and most of all they treated our home like it was their own.
I would absolutely recommend using this firm for all of your engineering and design needs.

Cragnolin Engineering performed the home inspection of the house we were buying which is now our current home. They were professional, responsive, and thorough and provided the results and inspection report in a timely manner. Their team identified some structural concerns on one of the walls in the garage and provided a structural repair suggestion. The previous owner repaired the wall using the recommended method and we are very happy with the results. I highly recommend this company for your engineering needs.
