Was clear Paul and his staff know what they're doing and they were able to complete some electrical work I needed done quickly, at a fair price and with good customer service throughout the process. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Awful business! Paul the owner came to our house 3 times. The first time when we were under contract to support the seller. He seemed to know what he was talking about and his prices were significantly lower than the rest of the indusry (red flag #1). After shopping around we decided to give him the job. We purchased an older home with knob and tube wiring. We were prepared to make a big investment and get the entire house rewired. Visit #2 he consulted us that we only needed to remove what was visible, remove the attic wiring, and ground outlets.

When he came back to do the job we hired him for (expecting the pay what he quoted around $6,000 in work). Visit #3 he arrives for the job, took a look at our electric work, and told us none of it was active and that there was no need for us to do any work. He left after a couple of hours and we paid him $300.

Now today, we have an insulation company at our house to insulate our attic. And guess what, THEY FOUND LIVE KNOB AND TUBE! So we're back to square one with no progress on our electric and other jobs on hold until we can find someone who can actually DO THEIR FREAKING JOB.

So thanks Chuck's Electric for wasting out time (5 months) and money! I hope others don't make the same mistake we did..

I was looking for an electrician to install electric out to my yard for an above ground pool. I found Chucks Electric via Google Maps and just gave them (about about 8 other companies) calls for estimates. Paul, the owner, was one of the guys who came out to my home and took a look around. He is SO friendly! And I felt really as ease around him. He didn't try to sell me more than I needed, and was very honest about what would go into the project. I had another electrician tell me if they hit any underground utilities while digging that I would be responsible for it... and they didn't even bring up the Ohio Utilities Protection Service. I knew I had to call OUPS before digging anyway, and I did. The tech from Chucks assured me if he hit the line that OUPS marked out that they would repair it, on them, not me. And he worked that mini excavator like a magician. My line and the marked phone line cross paths perfectly.

And not only has the service been impeccable, the cost is WAY better than I could have imagined. I've already recommended Chucks to a coworker putting in a pool and they hired them as well. I'm bringing them back to replace my outdoor lights soon. 10/10. A+++ business.

I have depended on Chucks Electric for many projects. I appreciate the fact that the get the job done right the first time and are always honest about what needs to be replaced, and what just needs to be fixed.
I recommend them to my friends with confidence!

In an emergency Paul, the owner of the company said he would be over and be able to take care of f the problem. I waited, the owner of the building contacted him and Paul said he was getting parts and was on his way. The end. He never showed he wouldn't pick up the phone or return anyone's calls.

Not very professional or trustworthy in my book. Luckily Frey electric was doing an emergency call at a neighbor's house and thankfully took care of the half hour job to get our electric hooked back up that night. If I waited on Chucks electric I would have been without for 4 or5 days I'm told by the he contractors on the street. Thanks Paul(Chucks Electric) for letting me know who not to call.
4 days later he never followed up on this past customer. That's why I followed up. To prevent this from happening to other people in an emergency situation.

I cannot recommend Chuck's Electric at all. I would give it zero stars if that were an option. The quality of workmanship was terrible and the major issue is not resolved. Our Homeowners' Association contracted with Chuck's Electric in November 2015 to repair issues with the electrical wiring at the entrance to our subdivision and to install new lighting. Six months later the job is still not complete. We do not want Chuck's Electric to perform any further work on our project and we have requested a refund for the labor (we'll pay for the materials since they are staying but we will need to hire someone to rectify the unresolved conditions).
New lighting was installed - however the quality of both the installation and the manner of installation were not satisfactory and failed to correct the major problem - circuits tripping due to rain - is not fixed; it still happens. The quality of the workmanship was shoddy - debris was left around the site; parts were left out in the rain overnight; a sweatshirt was left on the site; face plates on outlets were not installed; lights were omitted. Some of these issues have been rectified but only after numerous requests were made. We were told - more than once - that our project was a priority but the attention and service we received did not support that. Low voltage lights were connected directly to 110 volts. the replacements were totally unacceptable. These lights were supposed to provide substantial light for drivers' safety but the final installation was low-voltage (with transformers) walkway lights (one of which still did not work) that did not provide the safety lighting we desired. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. The electrician that he sent was friendly, thorough, prompt, and did an excellent job. Not only did they convert all necessary sockets, switches, and fixtures in my house to code compliancy; they, also, rewired my detached garage with new light fixtures, etc. to compliancy. They obtained all the necessary County Inspection Tags and Certifications that I needed. This was all done for approximately HALF the price that other electricians had quoted me for JUST converting the house sockets, switches, and fixtures. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND them to any friends or family for their electrical work.
