In May 2024, Mom's storm drain adjacent to her home in Dunkirk was no longer functioning as it should. Calvert County's Dept of Public Works came out and did a beautiful job of repairing (sloping) to allow storm water to run off as needed. It may sound like, "it was their job". But it was way more than that. The entire crew really cared and communicated. I wish I remembered all of their names, they all were awesome. The one name I remembered is "Brent". The crew was there for several days and the customer service, regardless of industry, was superb. At one point, the supervisor was called to the job site re a connection to a driveway pipe. I happened to be there when the supervisor said, "make it right" and had an adapter delivered to the site within hours.

Leadership starts at the top and everyone in the Calvert County government deserves recognition for delivering public service County residents can only hope for. And as for the hard working crew that thoroughly seemed to enjoy their work, the 5-Star review is most deserving. Thank you!

Called the department of storm drain grates totally covered with debris after a storm that night at 7:45 AM. With in hours after I placed the call, my wife called me at work and said a crew had come and cleared all the storm drain grates. Expecting more heavy rains tonight that would have flooded the entire area if they hadn't responded so quickly...Great job and thanks from Kenwood Beach !
