I am so grateful to Boss Electric for coming to my rescue on Saturday after Hurricane Helene. Matt answered my early morning phone pleasantly, and said he would get someone to my home that day. Jim arrived before noon, and he was proficient, fixed the problem quickly, all while smiling. He had been working on a house prior to mine that had completely flooded, and judging by his appearance, he was a hard working man. I would highly recommend this local company, and plan to use them again in the future. Lastly, they didn't gouge the price either which can be an issue whenever a disaster hits and people are desperate, especially in hot humid weather.

I would never use boss electric again
They were very misleading on the price and padded the time that it would take to do the job. They said it would take 2 people 2 hours to put in 5 GFI plugs. They charged me 168 dollars each for 2 men to replace the 5 plugs. The price of the plugs must ihave been 75 dollars each for what the final cost came out to be. I never got an itemized bill for them job.

We have used Boss Electric many time over the last 10 years. They are a little more expensive, but we call them because they do great work. Until now. Called them to repair a connection to an outside light fixture. The Tech had it working by the time he left. We paid the $150ish fee and my husband tipped the tech $20. Later that night the light didn't work. We called and were told that the tech "did his best" and it is probably because your light fixture is really old (9 years maybe - is that old?). They refused to come back out without charging an additional fee. Funny that it worked when he left so he was able to fix it. I guess his "best" wasn't good enough to keep it working. Maybe they shouldn't have sent the new guy. And the customer service was not great when we were trying to resolve this. Moving on to a new company for sure

They wired a hot tub for me , got the permit quickly. Everyone was super friendly. Dawn always called to see how things were progressing with the spa being delivered. Coordinating is a guessing game but she got someone right out to hook it up.
The guys that completed the actual wiring were friendly and on time.
We got through the whole process together.
I would recommend they stand behind their work. And make sure everything is good to go.

When I first called Boss Electric the owner of the company answered the phone. I explained I wanted a generator outlet installed. He clearly explained the installation they would do and why they do it that way, and then he gave me the price over the phone. I had already received 4 estimates from other local companies and this not only was the easiest estimate to get, but It was the least expensive for essentially the same or a better installation.
The installers were on time and courteous. Worked quickly and professional.
When finished they walked me through the operation and testing of the equipment, made sure I was happy and then cleaned up after themselves.
I am very happy with the quality of the sub panel and the receptacle that they installed.

The only area I thought they could do better, is that they did not accept the 10% discount coupon I downloaded from their website, and I was not aware that they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card for payment. That said, the owner did upgrade and cover the cost of a generator cord for me and that really was something he was not obligated to do.
Over all I feel that I received a fair price for work completed, and that is all I really want when hiring any company. I will be calling boss Electric again in the future.
